Practicing state and federal criminal defense since 1990, with many clients in the fields of bodybuilding, fitness, and nutrition.

Received undergraduate degree from Hofstra University and law degree from Hofstra School of Law, where he attended on a full academic scholarship and served on the Law Review.

Admitted to the New York Bar in 1985 and also admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas, the District of Columbia, and numerous federal courts nationwide.

Has represented and defended athletes on anabolic steroid cases and doping allegations and has worked with countless companies in the dietary supplement industry.

Interviewed in the film “Bigger, Stronger, Faster” (2008) and on national television talk and news shows.

Serves as the legal advisor to the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) Pro League and as Counsel to the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

Past President of the 5,000-member Nassau County Bar Association.

Member, Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Criminal Justice Section and Co-Chair of the Section’s Sealing Committee, advocating changes to state law in order to offer criminal record sealing to deserving ex-offenders.

Past Co-Chair of the Criminal Justice Section Re-entry and Collateral Consequences Committee of the American Bar Association.

Former competitive bodybuilder and personal trainer.

Contributed chapters to three texts on sports nutrition and is a nationally Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS). Co-author of Alpha Male Challenge, a men’s diet and exercise book published by Rodale. He is also a Screen Actors Guild member and has appeared in TV and film productions.
